Is it legal to drive motorcycle to registration office in Florida?

Here's my situation I am getting a motorcycle delivered from Maryland in a week or so and will have to complete a new out of state registration. I know that if the vehicle has not been registered in Florida in the past that you must get the odometer verified by someone at the Auto tag agency, notary, or police officer. I was wondering that since I have the motorcycle being delivered to my apartment is it legal to ride it to the tag office to register it and have them verify the odometer there(there will be no tag on the bike until I get to the office)? Otherwise I may have to try to get a police officer that lives in the apartment complex to verify it.
